Acta Doliche Food Project

Doliche Food Project

Project Overview

In mid-2021, ACTA Consultancy and Trading Co. began working with a client to build an entirely new confectionery brand designed specifically for international markets. The project brief was ambitious: create a premium chocolate-focused product portfolio capable of attracting global consumers through high quality ingredients, innovative product formats, and strong brand storytelling.

The brand, product portfolio, corporate identity, and operational infrastructure were all developed from the ground up. ACTA led the strategic development of the brand, product concepts, supply chain, market strategy, and international commercialization.

The result of this multi-year effort was the creation of DOLICHE, a confectionery brand built on heritage, quality, and joyful indulgence. Within just a few years, DOLICHE products reached shelves across multiple continents and achieved significant retail expansion, including listing in the United States at one of the world’s largest retailers.

Brand Vision and Corporate Identity Development

The project began with the creation of the corporate brand and its underlying story.

ACTA worked with its client to define the strategic positioning of the company as a premium confectionery producer focused entirely on export markets. The brand concept centered around delivering high-quality chocolate-based treats created with passion and innovative production ideas.

The name DOLICHE was selected as the foundation of the brand. It references the ancient Anatolian city of Doliche, located near present-day Gaziantep — one of the most historically significant regions for agriculture and culinary heritage.

The brand story reflects this origin, positioning DOLICHE as: “The cradle of natural tastes, sourced in the northern end of the Fertile Crescent — a region that has long been the pinnacle of agriculture.”

With the support of professional design agencies, ACTA developed the corporate visual identity including:

  • The DOLICHE logo
  • Brand fonts and visual design system
  • The brand slogan “Joyful Treats”
  • Corporate presentations and communication materials
  • Multimedia marketing content
  • Business cards and brand identity tools

ACTA also supervised the creation of the official website: www.dolichefood.com

At the same time, the operational structure of the company was established. The DOLICHE team was assembled with key roles including:

  • Marketing & Brand Manager
  • Export Operations Manager
  • Accounting and finance staff
  • Quality and regulatory consultants
  • Supporting operational personnel

Portfolio Strategy and Product Development

Portfolio Strategy and Product Development

Once the corporate identity was established, ACTA led a comprehensive portfolio development process.

The goal was to create a diverse confectionery range combining premium chocolate products with innovative product formats suitable for export markets.

Extensive preparation work included:

  • Consumer and market research
  • Product category selection
  • Budgeting and cost analysis
  • Private label confectionery producer evaluations
  • Supply chain planning
  • Pricing strategy development
  • Product recipe and concept development

After approximately four months of research and preparation, a multi-category portfolio concept was finalized. The initial product categories included:

  • Chocolate dragees
  • Chocolate-coated wafers
  • Tablet chocolates
  • Cocoa spreads
  • Chocolate-filled waffle cones

To strengthen brand architecture, ACTA developed a sub-brand system in which DOLICHE functions as a trust stamp across the portfolio while also appearing as a standalone premium brand for selected products.

Several distinctive sub-brands were created:

  • Jellypse – Chocolate-coated jellies covered with candy shells.
  • 2x2 – Chocolate-covered wafers filled with hazelnut cream.
  • Icone – Dark and milk chocolate filled waffle cones.

All packaging concepts and visual designs were developed with professional creative agencies to ensure strong shelf appeal and clear brand communication. Both the DOLICHE master brand and all sub-brands were successfully trademarked.

Regulatory Compliance, Production Partnerships, and Infrastructure Development

With the product concepts finalized, the next step was preparing the portfolio for international commercialization.

ACTA coordinated regulatory and operational preparations across multiple global markets. Product formulations, ingredient declarations, and packaging information were designed to comply with regulations in:

  • United States
  • South American markets
  • Middle Eastern markets
  • European markets

Specialized regulatory consultants supported this process, while creative agencies implemented compliant packaging designs and maintained documentation archives.

At the production level, ACTA secured partnerships with private label confectionery manufacturers capable of meeting high quality standards. All manufacturing partners were verified through quality analysis procedures and BRC certification requirements.

During this phase, detailed cost structures and pricing models were developed for different export markets, ensuring sustainable margins while maintaining competitive retail pricing.

By the end of 2022, the full operational infrastructure of the DOLICHE brand had been completed.
